- Style / Progress Over The Seasons -
Over the seasons, theres a slow but noticeable change within the style. Going from a more loose and inconsistent design, slowly shifting to a consistent design which lasts throughout the rest of the other seasons. These series of photos display that change, as well as including extra photos when related.
- Relations To Journey To The West -
Fun Fact: In the original story, Peng was the leader of the Brotherhood, however in the show, the roles were switched and Azure Lion took over that role instead.
These sets of images follow references to Journey To The West. The Brotherhood was a group within the original story, and the Pilgrims are the 4 that followed Tang Sanzang, the Buddhist monk, on his journey.
Fun Fact: In the original story, Ao Lie was simply referred to as "The White Horse Dragon" or "Little White Dragon". He properly got the name from the show "Journey To The West: Sequel" (西遊記) which aired between the dates 26 October - 19 December 1998 in Hong Kong.
- Comparison Between Ancestors -
I felt it was a good idea to do a simple comparison between the old and new, focusing both on their design differences and also focus on the personality differences. Mainly seeing as there will have been generations in between the ancestor and descendant. I found it quite easy to comment on the different aspects as there is quite a lot to share about each character.
- Colour Pallet Analysis -
This set of images goes into a small analysis on the colour pallets of each character. Some taken from two photos, simply to show the slight or noticeable change in lighting. The rectangles next to the title is a little something which from afar, if you are able to recognise the character, it can be both a good test on memory, and do display how unique the designs and colours are to each other. Demonstrating the fact the designs are all unique to one another.
